Primary Asset secures development of new healthcare centre

The Primary Asset Central Office have been appointed by Caerphilly Local Health Board to develop an Integrated Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Rhymney in the North of Caerphilly County Borough.

The project is anticipated to be 3,000m² in size and will house 2 GP practices, a dentist, an optometry suite, twelve community beds and various other services provided by Gwent Healthcare NHS Trust and Caerphilly Local Health Board.

A preferred site has already been identified and an ambitious target has been laid down by the Trust who would like to see the building opened to patients by September 2011. The project is understood to have been pre-approved by the Welsh Assembly Government and is the top priority for Caerphilly Local Health Board.
