Doctors in the village of Bassingham were working from very overcrowded premises and needed re-housing urgently to enable them to provide up-to-date medical care for their local community and the surrounding villages that they also serve.
Primary Asset acquired a greenfield site adjacent to the exisiting medical centre. The local planning department demonstrated a great deal of support for the proposed medical centre which was highlighted when a variation to the village boundary line was agreed in order to secure planning permission.
Together with input from the doctors and PCT, Primary Asset designed and built a new surgery that includes a light, airy reception area, health education and meeting rooms, nurse treatment rooms and a dispensary, together with a much enlarged car park. There is also adequate space for enlarging the building in the future, as the requirement arises.
