The need for a medical centre in Withymoor was initially identified by Dudley Primary Care Trust. After extensive talks with the local authority a site was identified in a residential area and planning permission was granted. Before building commenced the doctors at Albion House Surgery took over the lease from the primary care trust with the Withymoor Surgery becoming a branch surgery of their main surgery on Albion Street, Brierley Hill.
Due to the close proximity of local houses and traffic from the adjacent supermarket, Primary Asset paid particular attention to minimising disruption and inconvenience throughout the construction process.
Withymoor Surgery is now a leading teaching practice with links to Birmingham University. It consists of a minor operations suite, consulting room, nurse treatment rooms, multipurpose meeting room and a specific room for health visitors' clinics. There is also a pharmacy within the building.
